Tea House

Hey everyone!

So, last night a few friends and I went to a restaurant called Tea House in Nevis, W.I. Although the food prices were quite good, the food itself was not too appealing to me. I have to admit, I did get a slight stomach ache (quite like the other Chinese restaurant on the island called Young's). Would I try this place again? Maybe. The prices are quite attractive, and I would not mind trying the sweet and sour fish next time. This time I got the conch with black bean sauce and fried rice. I have to admit, the same dish at Gold Coast (Chinese restaurant across the street) has much better quality and taste! Nonetheless, if you want a lot of food for an affordable price, check this place out. Happy eats!

Mother's Dumplings

Hey everyone!

So, yesterday I took my mom out for an early Mother's day. We went to downtown Toronto in the China town area (Spadina and College), where I took her to Mother's Dumplings. I have to admit, they have the freshest dumplings I have ever had. They actually make it in front of you (viewable area). We got the chives & noodles and mushrooms, bok choy, & tofu ones, as well as the red bean steamed buns. Everything was super healthy (no msg) and delicious! A definite must try for everyone in the GTA! Happy eats!

Masamune Japanese Restaurant

Hey Everyone!

So, a few days a go, I went to this restaurant called Masamune Japanese Restaurant in Mississauga, Ontario. It is a small little corner shop, yet it had the best sushi I have had yet. This small bento box filled me right up. They have nice thick pieces of sashimi and huge tempura shrimp as well! I will definitely visit this quaint little shop again in the future. Happy eats!

Affy's Grill (Halal)

Hey Everyone!

So, I went to have some delightful food at my favourite Halal Steakhouse. In the image you can see a medium-well done 7 oz steak with cajun lemon sauce (yum!). The fries there are also quite delicious (definitely can tell they are homemade). I also had their caesar salad and mango-colada. My mom got the veggie sandwich and brother got their steak sandwich. However, my favourite dishes there are their ribs, steak, and mango/jalapeno chicken with shrimp. You also must try their mushroom and cream of broccoli soups! I like this place because they are very modern and actually serve Halal meat. I definitely recommend this restaurant. It is called Affy's Grill in Pickering, Ontario. Happy eats!

Yatchsman Restaurant

Hey everyone!

So, a few nights ago, I went to this restaurant just for some pizza, but then encountered quite an unusual dessert. The dessert was called Pina Colada Bread Pudding with vanilla ice cream on top. Not bad. It reminded me of having hot pie with vanilla ice cream on top. Yum! Happy eats!

Golden Rock

Hey Everyone! So, last night I had a great meal at Golden Rock in Nevis, W.I. The food was excellent. I got the snapper with risotto cake. I have to admit, normally I am not a risotto fan, but that cake was definitely delish! It had the perfect balance of soft on the inside and crunchy (toasted sesame seeds) on the outside. The fish was cooked to perfection. Of course the red pepper coulis, just added the extra little flavor profile. I have to admit, it was a great experience. My friend actually got their beef, and apparently, if you order it cooked to medium, it tastes like filet mignon. Either ways, my food experience there was great. I have to admit, it was a bit pricy, but if you think about it, the food quality was that much better. I spent about $25 for that dish alone, and enjoyed it to the fullest. So, if you are ready to treat yourself to a nice meal sometime, feel free to visit Golden Rock for dinner. Bonus points: this place is super romantic, with candle lit lighting everywhere. Definitely worth a visit sometime! Happy eats!
